"Grand Canyon" earrings and necklace sold at Firefly Moon
The colors in these pieces reminded me so much of the Grand Canyon! The major beads are of this gorgeous jasper that contains chrysocolla. The other gemstones used as accents are red aventurine and turquoise. The earrings feature handcrafted hammered sterling silver embellishments. The necklace, that closes with one of my handcrafted textured fine silver toggle clasps, is a beauty! Both pieces recently sold at Firefly Moon, a shop for fine (and fun!) artisan gifts (Arlington Heights, MA).
Here are more examples of my jewelry and bejeweled felted hats offered for sale, or already sold, at selected local shops. Previous places displaying my work included Divinity's Splendour Glow, a gift shop that was a local treasure for decades in Arlington, MA and, sadly, was closed; Mad About Shoe (9 Thompson St., Winchester, MA), a very special neighborhood boutique that offers "friendly personal service and gentle fashion advice" but has also now closed. We need to support local businesses! My jewelry is now available at LUV and Other Gifts in East Arlington (MA), that "specializes in showcasing the work of local and national artists and features an eclectic mix of handmade and indie designs" and Firefly Moon (formerly Arlington Heights and now in Lexington, MA), a neighborhood gift shop offering the "eclectic and uncommon", including distinctive gifts by local artists. Please contact the shops directly to check on what they are carrying.
"Ancient Redwoods" bracelet and earrings at New England Quilt Museum
This bold, chunky bracelet in warm woods and colors was for sale in the gift shop at the New England Quilt Museum (Lowell, MA). Matching earrings were available, too. Both feature handcrafted polymer clay beads with deep red, golds and green swirls, complemented with dark wood disks, coppery Czech glass and, in the bracelet, tan Czech firepolished beads. The bracelet closes with a clasp made from an oversized wood button. The earrings, handwired with hammered copper, dangle from sturdy nickel-free copper plated leverback earwires. This did not sell at the shop and is back in my hands! If you'd like it, contact me to see if it's stll available. (The earrings, however, did sell and I don't have any more of those pretty beads so cannot make a replacement pair.)
"Vanilla Chiffon" pearl earrings at Mad About Shoe -- necklace already sold!
These earrings feature very high quality coin pearls with a rich, lustrous nacre that almost looks whipped and fluffy. They're capped with creamy white Swarovski pearls adorned with my handcrafted fine silver textured beadcaps. Earwires and all other components are sterling silver. These are for sale now at Mad About Shoe. The gorgeous matching Vanilla Chiffon necklace (second photo), featuring the same quality pearls and my handcrafted fine silver medallions and toggle clasp, has already sold, also at Mad About Shoe. But, if you'd like to custom order a similar piece, perhaps with a different texture or finish on the silver disks, contact me to discuss it.
"Tahitian Baroque" earrings at Firefly Moon
These earrings feature gorgeous baroque Tahitian pearls, the only naturally black pearl. These have deep green and brown highlights. They're simply wired with hammered sterling silver and dangle from sterling silver leverback earwires. These were for sale at Firefly Moon, but we restocked so they're available in my Etsy shop again! They're my last pair of Tahitian pearl earrings in stock. Click the photo to reach the listing.
Earthy metallic polymer clay earrings at New England Quilt Museum
These lightly polished, sparkly marbelized polymer clay earrings sold at the gift shop in the New England Quilt Museum (Lowell, MA). They feature my handmade polymer clay beads, complemented with terracotta matte Czech glass and silvery-grey Swarovski pearls. They're handwired in copper and dangle from sturdy copper-plated (nickel-free) leverback earwires. Other one of a kind polymer clay designs, including those with the same color scheme, are available in my online shop and in other local shops. If you'd like some similar to these, contact me.
"Copper Starburst" pendant necklace sold at Firefly Moon
This hand-fabricated hammered copper pendant has a deep red tigereye stone bezel-set in sterling silver. It dangles from a handmade sterling silver loop and has a starburst design stamped at the top. The complementary strand features red tigereye, onyx, sterling silver and copper, with a handcrafted copper and onyx hook and eye clasp (not shown). This warm and unique piece sold at Firefly Moon, a great shop featuring fine artisan gifts (Arlington Heights, MA).
"Ripples" fine silver pendant at Mad About Shoe
"Ripples" is a fine (pure) silver pendant that I handcrafted and finished and set with a 5 mm natural white topaz. I oxidized and polished the silver for this dramatic contrast. The hand-shaped, hammered bail is also fine silver and the pendant comes with a Greek leather cord that closes with a sterling silver clasp. The pendant would also look great on your own silver chain or neckwire. It is now offered for sale at Mad About Shoe.
"Turquoise and Chocolate" necklace sold at Firefly Moon
This necklace has a Southwestern inspiration, featuring chunks of turquoise with a dark brown matrix, that is perfectly complemented with chocolate brown freshwater pearls. The clasp is handcrafted of sterling silver. This necklace was the first piece I sold at Firefly Moon. Although each piece of turquoise is unique, if you'd like a similar custom order, contact me. I will search for more turquoise nuggets and work with you on a design.
"Poppy Rocks" necklace, sold at DSG
Big, bright and bold, this necklace features smooth nuggets of red jasper, along with natural labradorite and copper. With its festive red colors, it sold at Divinity's Splendour Glow over the 2010 holidays!
"Orange Creamsicle" earrings at Firefly Moon
Once for sale at Firefly Moon, these bright, whimsical earrings feature orange and creamy yellow swirled lampwork beads handcrafted by Quebec lampwork artist Marie Andree Marchand. I love Marie's work and have used her beads in several designs. The swirly waves of the beads continue into swirled embellishments that, along with the lightly hammered earwires, I hand-formed in 14 kt gold-filled wire. A Swarovski crystal in pale yellow "Jonquil" and 14 kt gold filled beads provide accent. They're back in my Etsy shop so click the photo to reach the listing.
"Puppy Love" earrings at Firefly Moon
These graceful and whimsical earrings feature sterling silver heart and dog paw charms, along with the warm gemstone carnelian. They're accented with more sterling silver and with sparkly Swarovski crystals in "Light Colorado Topaz". The earwires are handcrafted from sterling silver and carnelian. These sold recently but if you'd like a similar pair, contact me to discuss a custom order.
"Raindrops" earrings sold at DSG

"Lightning Strikes" necklace, sold at DSG
Shimmery labradorite, with plenty of blue flash, is the star of this necklace. It is combined with oxidized silver plated spacer beads and sparkly Swarovski crystals in soft grey "Black Diamond". It closes with a hammered, oxidized sterling silver box clasp (not shown). This one-of-a-kind necklace has been sold, but my online shop now has several other pieces I've made with various shapes of this gorgeous gemstone, one of my favorite materials!
